My apologies

Good morning to whoever is still checking in on this blog. And THANK YOU to whoever is still checking in on this blog.

I apologize for being remiss on my blog duties. You see, my husband lost his job in September and I did my best to put on a happy face for as long as I could and then slowly but surely things... just started... to slip away. And this blog sadly was one of them. We kept our focus on keeping things bright and upbeat for Hannah and that didn't leave much energy for much else.

But now the good news! He got a job and starts in early February. So I can breathe again. I swear it feels like I was holding my breath for four months. So I am recommitting myself to the things that I enjoy and I have lots to share.

So thank you again for sticking around and I will be catching up on my posts. I will also try to work in our Instagram photos too. My husband takes some beautiful Instagram photos, y'all!

Cookie Decorating & Trick or Treating! Hiiiiii yah!

As always our Halloween season was packed with fun. Hannah had a great time at our church's Halloween carnival:

with the costume parade...

face painting...

and let's not forget, the cookie decorating station manned by yours truly!

I do not allow the children to leave until they pose with their delicious sweet creation. Obviously some are more thrilled than others. I know, I know, my cruelty knows no bounds.

A few nights later it was time for the "big show" - trick or treating! It was a little bit colder than it had been recently, so most of Hannah's costume was covered. I think that is the reason she wanted to stop trick or treating early. Oh well.

Here's our delightful pumpkin that we put up every year on our front lawn. I don't know why, but he always makes me smile.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween 2012

Happy Halloween! It's the year of the ninja... Hannah style.

Don't get me started on those knives. Oy vey smear! Mamma Bear wanted Hannah to be a leopard this year, a cute cuddly leopard. But noooooo, Grandma convinced Hannah that ninja was the way to go. What Grandma failed to realize is that ninjas have WEAPONS. So cue the knives. Keep your fingers crossed that these knives do not end up being evidence in some type of crime.

Isn't she the cutest ninja ya ever did see?

Flower Girl Debut

Last month, Hannah had the great honor to be a flower girl in Colby & Melissa's wedding in New Jersey. It was a weekend of a lot of firsts - so here are some highlights:

First time wearing "big girl" makeup.

First time getting her hair done.

First time wearing earrings other than the ones she was pierced in.

First time in a limo!

Check out that grin when she found out that she was going to the venue in a limo BY HERSELF.

First time being in a wedding (of course).

First time brandishing a weapon at a wedding. (Each of the groomsmen got a gun/cane and one of them was foolish enough to let Hannah hold it).

The first time that I have ever seen Hannah so focused on a task. She dropped those petals and booked it down the aisle.

The beautiful bride, Melissa and stunning mother-of-the-bride, Aunt Jackie.

The happy couple.

First time Hannah got to dance with her cousin, Greyson.

And the first time that Mommy & Daddy got to party at a wedding without having to worry about Hannah or how to get home.
