No really, Hannah loves the zoo.

She's just over her mother putting her on all of the cold, metal statues in the zoo. See, she likes it.

Chris has been working a lot lately so since he had the day off last Saturday and the weather seemed to be decent we headed off to the Asheboro Zoo. Hannah loves the zoo. She loves to see all the animals. It's almost as if she has a mental checklist of all the animals in the world and once she has seen one, she can check them off the list. The more animals, the better.

Hannah's first snowman

Last week we had our first snow of the winter (yes, I love living in the south). When I told Hannah, her first question was "Can I make a snowman?". I figured we could make that happen - besides who knows if we are going to get more snow this year. On our way downstairs, Hannah was looking out the window and I thought that she had such a serene look on her face - so I snapped a couple of pictures. Once we got dressed and ready for school, I took Hannah outside. As soon as her mittens got wet she said "My mittens hurt, I want to go inside!" so we had to work fast. That is why Mr. Snowman is not very tall (that and we did not get a lot of snow). The Santa hat was Hannah's idea since we did not have a black top hat.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Cute

As promised, here is the video of Hannah singing at the Christmas concert. She really is singing , it is really soft at first and then she gets louder at the end when she realizes that everyone is looking at her. Make sure you watch until the end of the video. Enjoy!

Hannah is officially a ballerina!

Grandma took Hannah to see the Nutcracker this past Christmas and ever since then Hannah has been enamored with being a ballerina. These pictures are from last weekend when Hannah was playing dress-up and posing in front of our hallway mirror. Since then we decided that dance classes were necessary. So, we enrolled Hannah last week at a local dance studio. She is starting "Pre-Dance" for three and four year olds. Hannah wears the second to the smallest size ballet slippers they had. Her first official class is next week. Her recital is in June and O.M.G., you should see the costumes. They had me at the costumes.

Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy new year!

Silly Hannah

Over the last two weeks we have REALLY enjoyed spending alot of time with Hannah. And we have noticed how much she will go out of her way to make us laugh. She just loves to be goofy. We are so thankful to have been able to spend so much quality time with our silly little girl. It will make going back to our busy work routine that much tougher.

Antique shopping with Hannah

Hannah has one rule if she goes with us to look for antiques...

She gets to dance in the aisles with her Daddy. I've just got to make sure the aisles are WIDE.

If you're silly with your cousin...

... wear crazy glasses!
Hannah and Greyson had a great time Christmas day acting silly and mugging for the camera. It was nice to see them play so well together. Sometimes they fight over the kitchen set at Sunday school. Thankfully Santa brought Greyson a wonderful kitchen for Christmas. Too bad he did not have time to assemble it. Good luck Aunt Vici.

The Opening of the Presents

Hannah was fortunate enough to get a lot of presents this Christmas from friends and family. We have been trying to not make a big deal over them since presents are not the "reason for the season" if you will and so far that seems to have worked. Let's see how it goes next year. Hannah's Grandma and Papa came over to spend Christmas Eve with us and play bingo (Hannah's latest favorite game). We had early morning service Christmas morning so that is why Hannah is dressed all fancy when she was opening presents. You see, when we tell Hannah we are going to church that means she wears a dress. No questions asked. So Hannah walked down the stairs to go to church and had to immediately walk out the door to make it to church on time. I thought she would have complained more, but she seemed to be excited to go to church and we just told her that the presents would be here when we got back. After church and the breakfast, we went home to open some presents. Aunt Jackie is playing right to the princess side of Hannah with a Princess Jasmine doll, Princess Aurora doll (Sleeping Beauty) and Sleeping Beauty's horse. Grandma got Hannah a cute outfit for her baby doll. Poor baby doll has been wearing the same outfit for a couple of years. And Grandma Debbie hit it right on the head with a Tinkerbell alarm clock. Although Hannah wasn't as crazy about it after the alarm went off. hee hee After we opened all the presents, Daddy took a nap and Hannah put on some of her gifts. Her favorite gift by far is the water goggles. When Hannah says it it sounds like "water gotters". Santa brought them to help Hannah keep the water out of her eyes when she takes a bath (which is still a chore by the way).
