Hannah, meet Chuck E. Cheese, Chuck E. Cheese meet Hannah

A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to babysit Cole so we decided it was a good time to go to Chuck E. Cheese's for an afternoon of mediocre pizza, nappy puppets, loud children and germ-infested playgyms. Fun.

One year ago today...

We got a glimpse of your bright and shining face for the very first time. We've been smitten ever since. What a wonderful journey it has been so far and we cannot wait to see what you hold in store for us tomorrow... and the next day... and the next. We love you with all of our hearts Hannah, the world is a much brighter place with you in it.
:)

Meet Jack Jack!

We recently adopted a three year old black pug. We call him Jack Jack... we hope you will too. As you can see from the pictures, he gets along very well with Hannah. He has one eye, so sometimes she sneaks up on him and vice versa, but both are fairly good natured about their encounters.
:)

Hannah at the Zoo

Shortly after New Year's we went to the North Carolina Zoo. I didn't get any pictures inside the zoo, so Hannah insisted on being cute while we were leaving. Enjoy!

We were aswingin'

After we went to visit Mom during my Christmas break, I decided to stop at a beautiful park in hopes of getting some "Hannah in action" photos. She loves to swing and we pretty much had the swings all to ourselves. I got some great shots - it was difficult to decide what to post.

:)

P.S. Check out the Christmas Day shots I posted below. For some reason they are coming up after the Christmas Eve shots, so they are easy to miss.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with Grandma and Grandpapa. Hannah got to show off one of Riley's hand-me-downs (although it looks like it was never worn at all). Thanks Riley! I just took some cute shots of Hannah having a good time.
:)

Christmas Morning

Hannah's first Christmas was absolutely delightful. We slept in a little bit (til 8:00am) and mosied on down in our pajamas to the tree to let the festivities begin. Hannah was reluctant to open all the presents. I think she wanted to play with each one first - you know, kick the tires a bit. She got tired of opening presents all together about halfway through so Mom and Dad had to take over. We made a big deal over each gift - which in hindsight might have been a tad overwhelming. All in all, it was a very good time. I just had to take a picture of the mess we made.

After we cleaned up the aftermath, we headed over to Aunt Jean's for a family get together. The closeup of Hannah is my absolute favorite - I worked on it in Photoshop and had it made into a painting via Winkflash. Not sure where it is going to go, but I'm sure we will find a spot. The one picture of Hannah looking like she is tripping is of...ahhh Hannah tripping. Please note, she caught her balance and did not fall after this picture was taken. I like the fact that she never let go of her "baby". The last picture is of handsome Greyson who apparently just scored a touchdown. Or maybe the Cowboys did. heehee.

First Haircut

Sorry for the delay, there has been some technical difficulties. Thanks for standing by.

Hannah had her first haircut right before Christmas. I think the pictures give you a good idea on how it went. Suffice to say, thank goodness for lollipops.

Pajama Day at Daycare

What a wonderful way to start our day! Hannah is rocking the gingerbread man pajamas this morning! Of course, I bring her into her classroom and apparently the other parents have forgotten about the all-important pajama day! (or maybe I just hallucinated it...)

Oh well, I'm glad Hannah is too young to be embarassed.

Thanksgiving

Besides the sickness that descended upon our household, Thanksgiving was a pleasant event (note Hannah's constant runny nose). My dear friend, Maria, came to visit (read: spoil Hannah) from NJ. Hannah is walking very well now and her favorite thing was to follow Cole. I think he really enjoyed having a shadow.

And nothing says Thanksgiving like a motorcycle in the Davis household. Hannah is the latest recipient of a motorized motorcycle that has been passed down in our family from child to child. She quickly figured out that the red button means go. That's my girl.

Ahhh, confectioners sugar... yum!

I should have known better - it was just too quiet in the kitchen. Went to the kitchen and this is what I see.

And then I see this. Can you stand it? Even when she is naughty she is adorable.

Apparently, Hannah enjoys the confectioners sugar very much. Especially right before bedtime.

Halloween Cute

I have some other pictures of autumn fun, but I just can't keep these photos to myself any longer. These were taken on two seperate occasions: our friends annual Halloween party (much fun was had in the moonwalk) and on Halloween getting ready to go trick or treating. Enjoy!
:)

P.S. We are now up to 5 teeth with number 6 fast approaching. Hannah is mobile, but only when she feels like it. She still likes to be carried around alot.
